This Saturday the Young Women's Film Academy Saturday Club welcome comics historian Mel Gibson to do a series of fab workshop as part of our brand new 'Comic Girl Hero' film project.
Mel is a comics historian who is interested in comics of all kinds from around the world. A lot of her research is in comics for girls and young women, ranging from British girls’ comics like Bunty, through to superhero titles like Ms Marvel and indie comics like Lumberjanes. She works at Northumbria University.
The Saturday Club is open to all girls and young women aged 12+ and is FREE to attend, no previous film experience needed!
