Working with grief and loss – a workshop designed for those working in counselling or helping professions to aid understanding of working with loss and the wide ranging impact this can have on us as individuals.
The aim of this workshop is to explore established models of working with grief and loss, and how we may use and tweak these ideas to shape our own practice. There will be a focus on bereavement but also loss in a wider sense (health, relationships, circumstances).
Loss is an experience we will all encounter and process differently and there will be opportunity to explore this and share good practice around how we work with this compassionately in a therapeutic relationship.
The day is designed to provide theoretical knowledge and application to aid our communication and confidence around working with this sensitive area. It is aimed at those in helping professions, including counselling, support workers, community and health workers.
