The Art of being a teenager

The Art of being a teenager – a workshop designed for those working with adolescents who want to understand more about the teenage brain, and creative ways of working therapeutically with this age group.

The first part of the day will focus on understanding the current context of working with adolescents and some basic neuroscience around their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
The second part of the day will take these ideas further into application and we will explore creative ways of working with young people to help them engage socially and therapeutically.

The day is designed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical resources to build confidence when working with this age group. It is aimed at any professionals working with adolescents in a helping capacity, including counsellors, youth workers, teaching assistants.
